LSG, on the other hand, defeated David Warner-led Delhi Capitals (DC) by 50 runs in their first match at the Ekana Stadium on Saturday. They restricted Delhi to 143/9 while defending a 194-run target.

Both the sides are pacers with star batters and all-rounders, but in this article let’s have a look at the top four bowlers who can take the most wickets in CSK vs LSG IPL 2023 match.

Mark Wood: The England pacer was nothing but exceptional in his side’s opening match against DC. He bowled four overs to concede just 14 runs and register IPL 2023’s maiden five-wicket haul. After getting rid of Prithvi Shaw, the express pacer dismissed Mitchell Marsh for a golden duck. Later, he dismissed Sarfaraz Khan, Axar Patel and Chetan Sakariya.

The 33-year-old will again come across as a major threat in front of a CSK batting line-up which relied heavily on the flamboyance of Ruturaj Gaikwad in the last match.

Ravi Bishnoi: The Lucknow leg-spinner can emerge as the most threatening bowler in the CSK vs LSG match. The 22-year-old played his first match of 2022 on Saturday and managed to take the prized wickets of Rilee Rossouw and Rovman Powell.

The spin-friendly Chennai track is expected to help Bishnoi who has picked 97 wickets in 73 T20s at an average of 22.75 and an economy rate of 7.08.

Ravindra Jadeja: The left-arm spinner bowled four overs for 28 runs and cleaned the stumps of GT skipper Hardik Pandya in the first match. However, he looked far from impressive.

In the 29 IPL innings he has bowled in Chennai, Jadeja has picked 19 wickets at an economy of 6.98. The spin-friendly Chennai wicket and left-hand heavy LSG top-order could help set the tone for Jadeja in the IPL 2023.

Moeen Ali: CSK will be having the services of another left-arm spinner Moeen Ali. His matchup against southpaws Kyle Mayers, Krunal Pandya and Nicholas Pooran can also be a riveting one.

The star all-rounder has 179 T20 wickets to his name in 269 matches. In the IPL, the 35-year-old has picked 24 wickets at an economy of 6.79 in 45 matches.
